Christmas Came in 3's....Part 1

Christmas came in 3's this year.....Part 1 in Idaho, Part 2 Thomas Christmas in Hawaii, and Part 3 Anderson Christmas in Chicago! Phew....it was fun and festive!

Here is Part 1....coincidentally the most calm and low-key that happened about 2 weeks before the actual Christmas...

We all headed out Warm Springs Rd to find Nana the perfect little Doug Fir. Even Tuck got in on the action!

We found it! Sky had fun trudging in the snow.

Time to drag the tree down. I think Skylar is waving :)

I got to drag the tree since it was my first time cutting down a real tree!

"Christmas" morning in E3. Stocking time!

Some fun opening gifts...highlights were play-doh and tools for Sky, snowshoes for me, and Swix gear for Lucas.

She's catching on to the this whole opening thing...
Dreaming of a White Christmas? Maybe the sucker was her actual favorite thing?

Helping Nana and Papa open their gifts too!

And just like that, we were off to the Big Island of Hawaii....Skylar's 9th state!

Family Photos 7/20/2015

When we were in Milwaukee, we finally had my friend Jenna (Songbird Photography) take Skylar's pictures along Milwaukee's Lakefront.  We wanted to have memories of Skylar in the place where her mom and dad met....and so she could see that the Midwest has a special place in our hearts!  It was really hard to pick just a few...Sky put her personality on display and loved the frigid Lake Michigan water...a true midwestern girl at heart??!

Saying the word, "Bubble!"

Notice the little rock in her hand...she loves rocks!

I'm sorry but #pigtail

She loves the water!

A girl and her daddy. Pretty great.

July, 2015! (aka travel like crazy....)

Recap of our July, 2015! What a month....it brought us to Skylar's 8th state...drumroll.....OHIO! It also brought us to Chicago (for Mary and Karl's wedding and Heidi and John's wedding and Amy's baby shower) and Milwaukee (to sell our condo--sniff, sniff and visit friends).  Here is our July in photos (Skylar is 16 months here)

The first week of July we spent in Ketchum....

Sky just hanging out at Sunday night Jazz. Turns out you are supposed to be quiet there....don't think it's our jam :) But Sky looked cool.

Wave that flag little one!

The 4th of July party at Noi and Rob's!

Proud to be Americans!

The hiking continues and this one was Titus Lake.  On the way back, Skylar hiked almost the whole way by herself! She loved the uphills and would shriek if we tried to pick her up.  She did great (and we adjusted to her pace ha ha)...not sure how much longer she'll agree to the hiking backpack???
And now for our trip to Chicago, Dayton, and Milwaukee....first stop, Chicago!

Getting to be a seasoned traveler! It was just the girls as Lucas was driving back with the 4-runner...

First stop after we arrived, Flick Park with Mimi and Papa :)
After feeding the ducks, we hit up the swings.

Our family anxiously awaiting the ceremony for my cousin Mary's wedding!

Congratulations, Mary and Karl Bratland! Here is our cousin pic at the wedding!

We had to get the kids together! Emily (4), Skylar (16 mos), and AJ (3). The Livingstons had twins on the way at this point and Jennifer was a rockstar (and 36 weeks pregnant!)

Lucas and I headed up to Milwaukee to pack, and Skylar stayed back with Mimi and Papa.  She went everywhere with Mimi...the pool, the splashpad, the park, Wagner's Farm, the Children's Museum...and this was visiting Uncle Jeff at his office downtown!  Look mom, I'm high above the city!

Jack loved entertaining (and carrying) Skylar and could make her laugh!

Hanging at the pool with the cousins (Caroline showing Sky the swimming mermaid).

Aunt Lauren and Harper (4) selfie!
Congrats to Heidi and John! Post ceremony with Uncle Jeff and Mimi. It was beautiful (and hot) day in Chicago!

More swimming action!

And now for Milwaukee...(unfortunately we didn't take many pictures but we hit up Jazz In the Park, I had sushi with the girls, had a day with Kelly and Tiffany, and had a great time as always being with our friends.

Hiking Lapham Peak with Jeri (6 months pregnant with baby Harrison), Rachel, Jillian (11 months), and Katie (not pictured and also pregnant!)

Crowbaby love :) <3
And now for just a few moments from Ohio....visiting Rach and introducing Skylar to Dayton!
We headed to Young's Dairy and fed the goats, checked out the tractors, and see below...

Ice cream time! Let's just say someone enjoyed this chocolate gelato.

Rach and Sky selfie!

Farmer's market time! Thanks Rach for a fun visit :)

What a July!!
