Skylar is ONE!
Skylar is officially a one year old! A toddler some might even say (sniff, sniff)...to celebrate her first year of life and our first year as parents, we participated (well we planned it too) in a 3 day extravaganza!!
Here are some of Skylar's one year stats...
Weight: 19 and a half pounds
Height: 29.5 inches
Hair: light brown/depends on the lighting
Eyes: Green? Blue? Hazel (they seem to still be changing!)
Milestones: Walking like crazy and trying to run, top 2 teeth are finally emerging! (4 teeth total), talking more and understanding more too
Words: (many of these are approximations but we can understand her!) Mama, Dada, Papa, Nana, more, book, ball, bird (she loves pointing outside and saying bird), popcorn, hi, bye, uh-oh, diaper, milk, gatita
Signs: more, please, bath, milk, dog, all done, cheese
Favorite toys and activities: babies (feeding them, hugging them, kissing aka licking them), books (loves any pop up books, Fave books- Brown Bear, Brown Bear, The Shape of My Heart, Little Green Monster, Chicka Chicka ABC), balls, pulling her snail, playing with her little house from Aunt Joy and ringing the door bell, turtle from Noi and Rob that projects stars and the moon on her ceiling, playing tent with daddy, shoulder rides from daddy, being OUTSIDE!, walking anywhere, playing in water (but not washing her hair, no ma'am), peek-a-boo, playing at Child Watch with her Y friends, running to her toy box and taking things out of it and then putting them back in, waving at people, high 5'ing, dancing to music
Food: blueberries, avocado, apples, cucumber, rice, cheerios, ice (it's not really a food but she loves it), cheese, bananas, grapes, scrambled eggs
Body Parts: Sky can identify hair, tongue, teeth, mouth, eyes, hair, ears, nose, neck, fingers, belly button, and toes!
And most of all, Skylar just makes us laugh and smile every day. She still makes the best faces, is super social, and a very easy going kid. Sky is a mover and a shaker and no, she still does not sleep through the night!

| March 12, 2015! Mimi and Papa Norm fly in to Sun Valley to celebrate. And we kicked off the birthday with some presents. Specifically, a bitty baby brought all the way from Chicago! |

| On to a birthday dinner at Despo's with Mimi, Papa Norm, Nana, and Papa Jim for Sky's favorite guacamole! Our girl gets to celebrate with all four of her granparents! |

| The baptism was followed by a fun and delicious dinner at The Grill at Knob Hill. |

| Day 3: It's party time!! Nana Bones graciously hosted Skylar's Shamrocking 1st Birthday! Cake was from the Konditorei at Sun Valley and was a chocolate Guinness cake! Many friends came to celebrate, eat some delicious food, and cheers Skylar! |
