First Easter and Other Firsts

The life of a newborn is experiencing everything for the first time :) So here are some of Skylar's firsts from this week...

First visit to Nana's new house on Winterhaven! We are so excited for her to be close to us in  a few months!

First night in the crib! Sky likes to stretch out so we thought she would be more comfy this way...she did pretty well! We did okay too and used our high tech video monitor.

And first Easter Sunday!  We celebrated and enjoyed the beautiful weather by going on a walk. We also had a lovely Easter dinner at Alex and Heidi's house with their twins Claire and Hazel, Noi and Rob, and Ben and Jo. Oh, and we also ate Skylar's Easter candy for her and read bunny stories. It was the last day of the ski season so it was a celebration weekend!

One month old!!!

Skylar hit the one month mark! She has already changed so much since she emerged in March! At her 1 month wellness check (really at 5 weeks), she weighed 8 lbs, 11 oz (29%ile) and is 21.5 inches tall (62%ile).  Her head is 36 cm (27%ile).  Skylar got an A+ from Dr Lyons.  Here are some fun one month highlights...

Newborn Pics!

Our fabulous friend Noi came over when Sky was 10 days old and took tons of newborn shots! Skylar worked hard and seemed fascinated by the process...she stayed awake and alert for most of the shoot.  Noi was able to capture some great moments and here are some favorites! It was really hard to pick....which is your favorite? Lucas will appear in the next one!!

Sky's Week in Review

Skylar had another exciting week in Ketchum. She is discovering her hands more...trying to grasp small toys, reaching for your fingers, and touching you when you hold her. She'll stick her tongue out to imitate you and she makes the funniest facial expressions.  Skylar also had her first tub bath!  She spent lots of time this week hanging with Nana Bonnie and Grandpa Jim, going on walks, and watching NCAA basketball.  Sky cheered her little heart out for Bucky...but alas, the Final Four was the end of the road! :(
