Christmas Part Two

As a new Anderson Christmas tradition, the whole family headed downtown for 3 nights at the Embassy Suites and enjoyed the continued city celebration...

Zoo Lights at Lincoln Park Zoo. The weather was warm (for winter!) and the zoo was BUSY!

Girls train ride--Harper, Caroline, Lauren and Sky

Mimi treated us to an American Girl Doll Brunch with the girls....These doll people know what they are doing.

Brunching with dolls! NBD.

Skylar loved her "borrowed" baby. Yes, you can borrow dolls to have brunch with you.

Hanging out at the "Bean" and getting ready to watch Caroline and Harper ice skate at Maggie Daley Park.

The Bean!! What a beautiful day in the city.

Sister skating!!
Watching the Packer game at Doc B's.  Mmmmm that kale slaw was so good!

Thanks to Aunt Joy, Skylar got pigtails!!
Lots of swimming with the cousins happened too!

Some moments not pictured...hitting up the Manager's Special happy hour (and thinking of the Crowbatters' order at our wedding), celebrating Eric's birthday with a drink at Sable, going to Pop's for champagne and late night food from Joe's with Lucas, and just hanging out with everyone at the hotel too. It was a merry Christmas!!

Sky's Very First Christmas! Part One...

Skylar's first Christmas was spent in Chicago with lots of family time!  We did Christmas Eve dinner at Mimi and Bumpa's house and even though their kitchen was still under construction, they managed to pull it off!  On Christmas day we went to visit Grandma Pat in the hospital (but she was in very good spirits) and then headed to Joy and Jim's house for more celebrating. Skylar got to see Liam and Hannah and cousins, aunts, and uncles galore.  Needless to say, there was no lack of attention! It was so much fun to see Skylar with her cousins and to see her in the mix of the excitement of Christmas! She wasn't sure what was going on but she knew she wanted to be part of it.  Some of Sky's very first Christmas presents included a snowsuit, pop-up books, a walking toy, and clothes. The magic of this holiday is back in full force.

Merry Christmas, 2014!

And now for the attempts of the Anderson cousins picture...First Jack was holding Skylar...but Little Jack wanted Big Jack to hold him so...

Then Caroline held Sky and Jack came in...

Big Jack is trying to get Little Jack to look at the cameras??

Mostly all smiles?! Caroline (10), Skylar (9 months), Harper (3), Jack (7), and Jack (20 months)

Daddy and Sky in front of the tree!

It's a box! I love her face in this one.

Happy girl and snowflake dress from Rachel (this is post her first haircut btw!)

A little help opening...

I think this captures the fun and excitement...and slight chaos too!

Open! Open! I'm pretty sure that wasn't even Skylar's present but something of Caroline's she was admiring.  Harper's wrapping paper is flying off of the package!

Christmas Morning! Santa Sandy and Sky in her Christmas pajamas from Mimi.
