Words: Mama, Dada, Nana, Uh-oh (new word in the last week), ball (approximation), book (approximation), and she pants for the word "dog", gatito (Spanish for kitty)
Party Tricks: Skylar claps, waves (her backwards wave is now turning forward!), blows kisses, will give a kiss, and now dances on demand
Favorite Foods: avocado and guacamole, apple, Cheerios, ice (she loves ice!),
banana, smoothies, carrots
Developmental Milestones: Sky took her FIRST STEPS on Tuesday, January 27th! (Video to come.) She was 10 and a half months old. She had been at Nana's house all day and had been walking a lot in the walker. When we got home, I coaxed her to come to me and she took her first steps (about 3!). She did it 5 or 6 times that night. In one week, she has improved tremendously and has done about 20 steps, changed direction...she's really, really on the move!
Favorite Toys: pink/black/white ball, her dolls (she feeds them now and gives them kisses and hugs), her red sled (especially for indoor sled rides!)
Fun activities: Taking everything out of a drawer and throwing it on the floor, swimming and bath time, reading books, dancing, walking and screaming as loud as possible, stretching on the changing table and making that loud "ahhhhhh" stretch sound, having daddy chase her up the stairs and down the hallway, dancing to music with Nana
Sleeping through the night?: No!!!! :( But she is getting better and is now usually only waking up once at night (well at least for this week!)
